Each figure there is quoted in Australian dollars, because your account is held in AUD from the day you join. Coins are the one place where a minimum is approximate rather than exact: a crypto transfer converts at the rate the cashier quotes as you confirm, so the dollar value lands near A$20 instead of precisely on it.

Step by step

Your first deposit, from an empty balance to a live reel

Five short moves, all of which run just as happily on a handset as on a laptop.

  1. Sign in and open the cashier

Use the log in panel in the header of any page, then pick Deposit from your account menu. Not joined yet? Opening an account wants little more than a name, an email address, your birth date and a password, and the whole thing is over inside a minute.

  2. Pick the route that suits tonight

Card, bank transfer, e-wallet, prepaid service or coin. Highlight one and the cashier shows its own floor straight away, so there is no way to under pay a minimum by accident.

  3. Decide the amount before you type it

Enter the figure you set aside for the session rather than the figure your card happens to permit. Daily, weekly and monthly caps live in your account settings, and the tools on our responsible gambling page will hold that line on your behalf.

  4. Approve it where your money lives

A card asks for a one time code from your bank. A bank transfer is signed off inside your own banking app. A prepaid code is typed into the cashier. A coin transfer is sent from your wallet to the address we display on screen.

  5. Watch the match switch itself on

Put A$20 or more through a first deposit and a 150% match up to A$1,500 arrives with 200 free spins behind it, handed out 40 at a time across five days. Deposit one needs no code. Deposits two, three and four are claimed with VEGAS2, VEGAS3 and VEGAS4, as the promo codes page explains.

A$20 is the number worth remembering

Twenty Australian dollars is the floor on every route in the cashier and, conveniently, the same figure that brings one stage of the welcome package into play. Pay in A$20 and the session opens with A$50 in front of you: your own twenty, plus a 150% match of thirty. Pay in A$100 and the match adds A$150. The first stage stops growing at A$1,500 of bonus money, a ceiling you reach by paying in A$1,000.

Bonus money carries conditions and we would far rather you met them here than discovered them later. Wagering runs at 40x the bonus amount. The largest stake permitted while a bonus is active is A$8 per spin. A bonus lasts 7 days once activated. Winnings produced by bonus funds can be taken out to a limit of A$5,000. The complete wording sits in our terms, and the headline numbers are set out on the bonuses page.

Starting considerably larger? There is an alternative to the standard opening deposit. Hand over A$500 or upwards on the high roller route and the match becomes 200%, capped at A$6,000, bundled with a trial of our Diamond Club that runs for 60 days. You take one or the other on deposit one, never both, so settle on which before the money moves.

Bank rails and cards

The two routes most of our players reach for first

A Visa or Mastercard deposit is the shortest path for anybody who would rather not learn anything new. You type the long number once, it travels behind 256-bit SSL, your bank sends a confirmation code, the balance refreshes. From A$20, credited on the spot, with nothing held back by us.

A bank transfer arrives at the same destination with your own bank doing the carrying. You authorise the movement inside the app you already use for bills and wages, no card number is typed anywhere on our side, and your bank reads it as an ordinary payment to a payee rather than a card purchase at a merchant. That distinction matters more than it sounds, and the next section explains exactly why.

Both begin at A$20, both credit immediately, and neither attracts a charge from VegasNow. On a phone the whole exchange is a handful of taps, and the cashier you meet on mobile is the same cashier as on a desktop.

When a bank turns a card payment down

Every so often a card deposit comes back refused with nothing useful attached to explain it. Almost every time, that decision was taken inside your bank rather than inside our cashier, which is why a second attempt a minute later produces an identical answer. These are the real causes, in rough order of how often we see them.

A gambling block sitting on the account. A number of Australian issuers turn down anything coded as gambling. They apply it as a flat rule across the board, never as a comment on you or on the state of your account, and several banks now ship the switch on by default and show it to you in their app. Whether you move it is entirely your own call, and where it is on by choice we would sooner you left it alone.

A credit product rather than a debit one. Australian rules restrict the use of credit cards for online gambling, so a credit card can be refused where a debit card from the very same bank goes through without a murmur.

Details that no longer line up. An expired card, a mistyped expiry month, a wrong security code or a billing postcode your bank has since updated will each halt a payment every bit as surely as a policy block does.

A ceiling you have already used. Daily card limits belong to your bank, not to us, and a card that worked at lunchtime can refuse by evening purely because the day's allowance has gone.

What a deposit actually costs you here

VegasNow charges no deposit fee. Send A$100 by card, bank transfer, e-wallet or prepaid service and A$100 lands on your balance. No percentage is skimmed off the top, no handling charge hides in the confirmation screen, and small amounts are not penalised with a flat minimum. That is why the final column of the table above reads Nil the whole way down.

Crypto is the one place a cost can appear, and it is neither ours to charge nor ours to waive. Every blockchain asks a network fee for processing a transfer, which goes to the miners or validators keeping that chain alive. It climbs when traffic is heavy and settles back when things quieten, which is why a coin deposit now and then arrives a shade under the figure you sent. Your wallet shows you that fee before you confirm anything.

Two further charges sit outside our reach as well. Your own bank or card issuer may apply a currency conversion fee where the account behind the card is not held in Australian dollars, and some e-wallet providers charge for loading the wallet itself. Neither payment passes through VegasNow, so an exact figure has to come from whoever holds the money.

Coins

Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, for players who already keep a wallet

If a wallet is already part of your week, crypto is the quickest road in and usually the quickest road back out again. Select the coin in the cashier, copy the address shown, send from your wallet, and the funds credit the moment the network has confirmed the transfer. In practice that is a few minutes.

Two habits keep it painless. Copy the address rather than retyping it, because one wrong character sends money somewhere nobody can retrieve it from. And send each coin to the address generated for that coin: Bitcoin to a Bitcoin address, Ethereum to an Ethereum address, Litecoin to a Litecoin address. A coin posted onto the wrong chain is gone permanently.

Hold on to the transaction hash your wallet hands you until the balance updates. With that one string our support team can follow a deposit across a block explorer in seconds, and a confirmation count explains very nearly every coin transfer that looks late.

Before you confirm

Thirty seconds of checks before the money moves

A quick pass through these settles most of the payment questions that ever reach our chat team.

  • Whatever you are paying from, card, bank account or wallet, carries your own name and lines up with the details held on your VegasNow profile.
  • Your figure is A$20 or more if you want this top up to qualify for a stage of the welcome package.
  • You have the right code for the stage you are on, so nothing at all on deposit one, then VEGAS2, VEGAS3 and VEGAS4 in order.
  • A deposit cap is either in place in your settings, or you have thought about it and chosen to go without one for now.
  • You know how the money comes back out, since payouts return to the method you paid in with. Our withdrawals page carries the minimums and the timing.
  • You are 18 or over, playing on your own account, and the funds are yours to use.

Deposit questions we are asked most

Quick answers on the business of funding an account.

What is the smallest deposit VegasNow accepts?

A$20 across cards, bank transfer, e-wallets and prepaid services. Crypto works to roughly the same value, converted at the rate the cashier quotes as you confirm.

Does VegasNow take a cut of my deposit?

No. Every route in is free from our side. The only charge you can ever meet is a blockchain network fee on a coin transfer, which goes to the chain carrying it and never to us.

How quickly does a deposit show up?

Cards, bank transfers, e-wallets and prepaid services credit instantly. Coins appear once the network has confirmed them, which is usually a matter of minutes.

Must I send identity documents before depositing?

No. Depositing works as soon as the account exists. Our identity checks belong to a first withdrawal instead, although sending the documents early means they are long finished by the time you want to cash out.

Can I pay in with somebody else's card?

No. Fund only from cards, accounts and wallets held in your own name. Payouts go back to the account holder's own method, and a mismatch stalls that later on.

Which deposits carry free spins?

All four of them. Deposit one brings 200 spins at 40 each day over five days, deposits two and three bring 50 apiece, and deposit four brings 200. The detail sits on our free spins page.

My balance has not changed. What should I do?

Reload the cashier first, then open your banking app or wallet to see whether the payment actually left. Keep the bank reference or the transaction hash, and our 24/7 live chat can trace it from one end to the other.

Ready to open the cashier?

A$20 on your first deposit brings a 150% match up to A$1,500 and 200 free spins, with no code to type anywhere.
