Gates of Olympus at VegasNow: tumbles, multipliers and 15 free spins
Zeus stands beside a six-reel grid where nothing pays along a line. Land eight or more matching symbols anywhere, watch them clear, and let the next drop decide whether the round keeps going. This page sets out how the game plays in your VegasNow account, how it counts toward a bonus, and how to size your stake before the first tumble.
- 96.50% provider RTP
- 500× top multiplier symbol
- 15 free spins from 4+ scatters

How a round of Gates of Olympus actually plays
Press spin and the grid fills from the top. There are six reels and no paylines to learn. Instead, the game counts how many of each symbol are on screen. When eight or more of the same symbol appear anywhere on the grid, they form a win. The pay table rewards counts from 8 up to 30, so a cluster that covers most of the screen pays far more than one that just scrapes past the minimum.
Once a win is paid, the winning symbols disappear. Everything above them falls into the gaps and fresh symbols drop in from the top. If the new layout produces another qualifying count, that pays as well and the process repeats. This is the tumble, and a single paid spin can tumble several times before the grid settles with nothing left to remove. Only then is the round over.
The multiplier symbols are the part people remember. They arrive as coloured orbs carrying a value, and the highest value printed on the game is 500×. Pragmatic Play describes the rule plainly: multipliers on the grid add together and apply to the win. Two orbs showing 5× and 10× give you 15× on that sequence, not 50×. It is addition, not multiplication, which is worth keeping in mind before you imagine what a screen full of orbs might pay.
The free spins round opens when four or more scatter symbols land. It awards 15 free spins, and the same tumbling and multiplier logic carries on inside the feature. That is where the game earns its reputation, because the feature gives the orbs more chances to line up with a paying cluster. It also means a long base-game stretch without four scatters is normal and should be budgeted for, not chased.
Everything about the maths sits in the game's information panel, which opens from the menu button on the reels. If you want the source rather than our summary, Pragmatic Play's own Gates of Olympus page lists the same specifications we show below.
What each part of the game does
Four mechanics drive almost every result in Gates of Olympus. Understanding them is the difference between reading the screen and just watching it.
- Pay anywhere. There are no lines to cover and no reel positions to worry about. Eight to 30 matching symbols anywhere on the six reels form a win, and the count decides the payout band.
- Tumbles. Winning symbols are removed and replaced from above. Each tumble is a fresh chance for a new cluster, and the chain continues until a tumble pays nothing.
- Multiplier orbs up to 500×. Orbs land with a value attached. Where several appear in the same winning sequence, their values are added together and the total is applied to the win.
- Free spins. Four or more scatters trigger 15 free spins. The feature uses the same grid, the same pay-anywhere rule and the same tumbling, so all four mechanics are working at once.

The other Gates in our lobby
Search "Gates" in the VegasNow lobby and you will find three related titles: the original Gates of Olympus, Gates of Olympus 1000 and Gates of Olympus Super Scatter. They share the look and the tumbling engine, but they are separate games with separate information panels, so check the panel of the one you open rather than assuming the numbers carry across.
Super Scatter is the version with the largest published ceiling. According to the Super Scatter page on the studio's site, its maximum win is 50,000×. Inside the feature, one to four Super Scatters pay a fixed 100×, 500×, 5,000× or 50,000× respectively. Multiplier orbs still reach 500×. The studio does not publish a return-to-player figure or volatility rating for Super Scatter on that page, so we do not quote one either. If the RTP matters to your choice, open the game and read the panel before you stake anything.
Gates of Olympus 1000 sits between the two in our lobby listing. We do not hold verified specifications for it, so the honest advice is the same: open it, read the information panel, and decide from there.
How Gates of Olympus counts toward 40× wagering
Slots contribute 100% of each stake toward bonus wagering under our general bonus terms, which makes this one of the most efficient places to work through a requirement.
| Game type | Contribution to wagering | A$100 staked counts as |
|---|---|---|
| Slots, including Gates of Olympus | 100% (exceptions apply) | A$100 |
| Roulette | 25% | A$25 |
| Blackjack and game shows | 10% | A$10 |
| Baccarat | 0% | A$0 |
Stake size, the A$8 ceiling and the 7-day clock
The A$8 maximum bet applies to every spin while a bonus is running. It is easy to forget during a quiet stretch, when raising the stake feels like a way to make something happen. On a bonus balance, a spin above A$8 breaks the terms, so pick your stake at the start and leave it alone.
The clock matters just as much. Bonus funds last a maximum of 7 days. A A$6,000 requirement spread over a week is about A$857 of spins a day. At A$1 a spin that is roughly 857 spins a day, which is a lot of screen time. At A$2 it halves the spin count but doubles the swing on your balance. Neither is wrong. What matters is choosing the version you can sustain without pushing the stake higher than you planned.
The free spins in the welcome package follow their own rules. Their winnings carry 40× wagering, you need to wager your deposit once before the free-spin part is released, and welcome free-spin winnings are capped at A$300. The game those spins land on is shown on the offer in your account when they are credited. Our free spins page explains how all 500 are split across the four deposits, and the welcome bonus page covers each stage and code.
You can always decline a bonus. If you would rather play Gates of Olympus with cash only, with no stake ceiling and no wagering, say no to the offer when you deposit. One bonus can be active at a time, so this also keeps your account free for a weekly reload later.

Planning a session around a feature you cannot predict
Gates of Olympus is built around a free spins round that arrives when it arrives. You cannot see it coming, you cannot make it more likely by raising your stake, and a long run without it is part of the design. That makes the budget decision more important than any decision you make during play.
Start with the amount you are comfortable spending tonight and divide by the number of spins you want. A$100 over 200 spins is 50 cents a spin. A$100 over 100 spins is A$1. The 96.50% return to player is a long-run average over a very large number of spins. It tells you about the game across millions of rounds, not what will happen in your next hour, and individual sessions regularly finish well above or well below it.
Set a deposit limit in your VegasNow account before you play, not after a losing run. Session reminders and self-exclusion are there too.
